The Minister of Education of the Nation, Nicolás Trotta is preventively isolated in Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, for being among the close contacts of a person with coronavirus and will carry out the activities that he had planned in the province “remotely.”
“I arrived in the province of Santa Cruz yesterday afternoon for activities on the agenda, with a negative PCR. However, at night I was informed that I am close contact of a person with covid-19, “the official reported through his Twitter account.
And in that sense, he added: “I will be in preventive isolation until the health authorities consider it prudent and I will carry out the corresponding swab. I will follow the planned activities remotely“.
It’s not the first time in this pandemic the minister must isolate himself. On October 14, 2020, Trotta had to be confined for having been in close contact with the mayor of Ensenada, Mario Secco, who was diagnosed with covid-19 at that time.
Trotta had planned to participate this Tuesday in an activity of the “Accompany-Reading Plan” Program, and visit two establishments conditioned during the pandemic with Infrastructure Funds, in Río Gallegos.
Those activities had to be modified by isolation.
Also, he was going to head the morning act related to the expansion of an Industrial school: N ° 6 “X Air Brigade”. And from there, he had a videoconference planned with the “General Enrique Mosconi” Industrial School N ° 1 of Caleta Olivia.
Trotta shared a video conference with Santa Cruz Governor Alicia Kirchner.
The activity of the Minister of Education was to continue in the afternoon in a ceremony at the Government House of Santa Cruz. There, netbooks for secondary students will be delivered and an agreement will be signed with the Provincial Council of Education to strengthen the Technological Pole.
Before his trip to the south of the country, Trotta had shown his dislike for the return of face-to-face classes without bubbles both in the City and in Mendoza, and called Horacio Rodríguez Larreta “irresponsible” for leading the measure.
“We ask the City of Buenos Aires and the province of Mendoza to share the evidence you have to return to classes without distancing; if not, we are facing an act of irresponsibility of these jurisdictions, “Trotta had said on Monday.
