Argentina already has more than 50% of the population over 18 years vaccinated against COVID-19
The Argentine health authorities have reported that more than 50 percent of the country’s adult population is already vaccinated against COVID-19, and that this Saturday a new vaccination record was broken, with 471,000 doses administered.
Thus, Argentina has reached the 51.62 percent vaccination with one dose in the population over 18 years of age and, by age group, those over 60 are the most immunized —More than 84 percent—, at the same time as citizens between 18 and 29 years old represent the lowest data —More than 15 percent—, according to the Télam agency.
These data are possible thanks to the fact that, as recalled by the country’s health portfolio, since the beginning of July more than 1,850,000 doses of the different vaccines have arrived in Argentina, and this week they have been administered about 1.3 million.
In the last day, the South American country has registered 14,034 new cases of coronavirus, thus increasing the total figure to 4,526,473 since the beginning of the pandemic, and 215 new deaths have been added, reaching 95,594 deaths.
