Coronavirus IL: Coronary infection in President Tarja Halonen

President Tarja Halonen is suffering from a disease caused by the coronavirus, says Iltalehti. Halonen’s spouse confirms this to the magazine Pentti Arajärviwho says he has the disease himself.

Halonen canceled her performance at the library days in Hämeenlinna due to illness. Arajärvi tells IL that both are well.

Coronavirus has also recently become ill with the current Finnish leadership. Prime Minister Sanna Marin (sd) sick disease last week. The current president Sauli Niinistö again had to coronavirus sequelae therefore in April to the hospital for two nights.

Coronavirus epidemic burdens hospitals less now than before, but the disease is still in full swing.

“The risk of getting the disease is still reasonably high because the disease is clearly moving, but it has become more like a normal respiratory viral infection in the majority of the population,” Hus’s chief physician Asko Järvinen stated to HS last week.
