The pandemic confirms its decline a fortnight after relaxing most measures to the hospitality and nightlife
The slight rebound in coronavirus infections in the Region of Murcia has already been left behind. It was a specific circumstance, nothing sixth wave. New cases have been reduced so far this week by almost 20% compared to the previous one (302 compared to 372), which is why the Region returns to touch the low risk levels, precisely after two weeks since it was they lifted most of the restrictions on hospitality and nightlife (schedules, bars and dance floors, although with nuances).
The Ministry of Health notified 31 infections this Monday. More than a third were registered in Cartagena, the only municipality that exceeded ten new cases. As for the rest, 4 were registered in Murcia, 2 in Los Alcázares and 2 in Totana. The rest were distributed in various locations.
In addition, the Region of Murcia did not add deaths from coronavirus this Saturday, which is the second consecutive day without deaths. The total remains at 1,755 fatalities since the start of the pandemic. Hospital occupancy data, which has also remained stable since the end of the fifth wave, will be updated by the Ministry of Health on Monday.
