Corona case numbers, incidence and R-value have played an important role since the beginning of the corona pandemic. However, the Covid-19 dashboard cannot be reached on Friday morning.
Berlin – The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) publishes the current figures on corona infections every day. The health authorities in Germany report their corona case numbers. On the Covid-19 dashboard the values for the individual federal states and 412 urban and rural districts are then updated.
“The data is being updated. Please check back later. The number of cases will be available early this morning, ”says the information on the website. Then follows a RKI link.
What technical problems are behind this is initially unclear. In any case, the corona cases in Germany have been on a descent in the past few days. More and more mouse-gray spots could be seen on the Covid-19 dashboard. On Thursday, the nationwide incidence was 5.1. More and more regions are “Corona-free”. The number of new corona infections is almost 900. The number of corona cases on Friday (July 2, 2021) is not yet available at 6.34 a.m.
The RKI published a current corona situation report on Thursday evening. The R-value is noticeable here. The RKI currently estimates the 7-day R-value at 0.92. The value approaches 1 – this means “the number of case reports, which is at a low level, is decreasing proportionally less and less”.
Corona in Germany – 91,015 deaths so far
Johns Hopkins University (JHU) updated his Covid-19 dashboard on July 2nd. However, the values are cumulative and can deviate from the data of the RKI. According to the JHU data compared to the previous day, 249 new corona infections and 54 further deaths have been recorded in Germany.
- 3,736,959 people in Germany have been infected with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the corona pandemic.
- 91,015 people died with or from Corona.
- 74,871,502 vaccine doses were administered in Germany.
