The RKI will announce the current number of corona cases in Germany on Tuesday (October 12th, 2021). The incidence is falling slightly.
Kassel / Berlin – There is little dynamic in the seven-day incidence in Germany. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning as 65.8. For comparison: the day before, the corona incidence value was 66.5, a week ago it was 63.6 (previous month: 80.2).
The health authorities in Germany reported 4971 new infections to the RKI within one day corona*. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4.19 a.m. A week ago the value was 4799 infections.

According to the new information, 88 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 90 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,318,355 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days – the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions – was given by the RKI on Monday as 1.58 (Friday: 1.67). A nationwide threshold, from when the situation can be viewed critically, is for the Corona hospitalization incidence* not provided due to major regional differences, among other things. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
