On Tuesday 29 the Professional Football League announced the fixture of the tournament that will begin to be played in mid-July and, after analyzing the different matches, the controversy was left open after some striking situations were detected.
One of them was that River will play against all the teams called great in local condition: in the Monumental it will receive Boca, Independiente, Racing, San Lorenzo and Huracán. And at the other extreme appears Racing, which will be a visitor to each of them.
Asked about this, President Rodolfo D’Onofrio minimized the conflict and commented that localities in times of a pandemic are not influential, while pointing out that his club will have to travel to Rosario twice.
However, the situation did not go unnoticed precisely in Racing, an institution that in the last hours expressed itself through a statement in which it asked for a meeting with Marcelo tinelli, president of the Professional League, to review the draw.
It is worth clarifying that the Avellaneda club is not the only one that will have to face all the games against the greats as a visitor. Colón and Defensa y Justicia, to name just two examples, were also harmed by what was announced from the LFP.
“Yesterday, Tuesday, June 29, the Professional Football League released the fixture corresponding to the LPF Tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 16,” the letter begins, broadcast through the networks. Racing social networks.
And he adds: “The resulting game program is far from representing the parameters of equity about two factors of maximum relevance, such as the distribution of the locality in the so-called classic games and the kilometers to travel on the trips for the away games” .

“For that reason, Racing Club, through Mr. President Víctor Blanco, requested today and urgently a meeting with the Mr. President of the Professional Football League, Marcelo Tinelli, which was granted for Monday 5 of July, with the commitment that common sense prevails and that the corporate mass of our institution is not seriously harmed, “the statement ends.
