Gildo Insfrán led the launch of the candidates for national deputies of the Frente de Todos in Formosa. He did it with a indoor act, before hundreds of followers and without complying with any protocol against the coronavirus.
After the denunciations of excesses and irregularities in the isolation centers and of alleged human rights violations, Insfrán adds for these hours another scandal in his provincial administration, which has already lasted for 26 years.
Now, the questioned ultrakirchnerista governor led the start of the ruling party campaign for the 2021 elections at the San Martín club in the capital, which will have its first visit to the polls in the STEP of September 12.
In the pictures, disseminated by Insfrán himself, the non-compliance with the basic protocols against the covid, right in a Formosa that implemented strict measures against traffic and that accumulated complaints of abuses by the authorities.

“This afternoon we participated in the launch of the candidates for national Deputies by the Frente de Todos. The comrades Ramiro, Elena, Adrián and Cristina will have the commitment to represent and defend thethe interests of the people of Formosa“the governor wrote on his Twitter account.
“With unity, with love for Formosa and with the tireless work of the militancy, in Formosa All united we will triumph“, harangued Insfrán.
The photographs show the absence of distancing minimum among the militants, who filled the club’s stadium from boat to boat to support the candidates Ramiro Fernández Patri and Elena García.
The Formoso boss himself had no choice but to admit it: “I thought that we were all going to be sitting down. As a friend said ‘I invited you to a meeting Y I got out of hand and it became an act, ‘”accepted Insfrán.
A scene that opposes the critical situation that the province experienced during the pandemic, due to the strong restrictions implemented by the provincial government –used as a successful example by Alberto Fernández, even in the face of complaints from international organizations – and which were recently made more flexible this Monday.
“It is a totally closed club. In the images you do not see social distancing, in some photos there are people without masks. The governor was the only speaker: it was the presentation, but the candidates were standing back, they didn’t even say hello “, Councilor Celeste Ruiz Díaz described to Clarion the proselytizing character of the convocation.
“Gildo never goes to this type of event. But only he spoke. He went up without a mask, greeted the candidates with kisses, violating all the protocols, “added Ruiz Díaz. And he remarked that the official act breached even 50% capacity established by Insfrán itself for social events.

Insfrán, Macri and pandemic
Curiously, Insfrán urged his followers – who listened to him shoulder to shoulder – to continue to comply with basic care to prevent the covid from taking “new lives”.
“Today we do not come to celebrate anything, we only come to a reunion to talk about the new normal that this virus demands of us, “said the president. The weather contradicted him when he spoke.
He also compared the health crisis with the government of Mauricio Macri: “They left us in a worse situation than the pandemic we are in today.”
“They have left us with a debt that our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will pay for a long time, but this does not mean that we are going to renounce the fight on all fronts because the motto of the people of Formosa is ‘In Formosa nobody surrenders,’ “he emphasized.
In addition, he noted against the media and against the opposition of “the porteños” and the people of Formosa themselves.

The head of the provincial Executive affirmed that “nobody knew how to confront the virus”, but pointed out that “only in the media were the know-it-alls“.
“The porteños don’t love me, I am sorry for them, “he ironized, although he clarified that” yes it hurts and saddens me as people from Formosa, our provinces lend themselves to such an attitude against our people; They even criticized the vaccine and said it was poison. “
In his traditional press conference, the Minister of Government of Insfrán, his bishop and spokesman Jorge González improvised a justification for the act, always with his refractory tone.
González first I know complained about the question – always with hidden intentions for the minister. And then he derived the answer to a doctor who said that “a protocol similar to that of other countries” was stipulated.
“Before the event, a protocol was planned for this situation. Obviously, the number of people is another issue …”, the specialist began.
“But the protocol that was presented is similar to other sporting events in other parts of the world, it is a similar health passport or green passport, as it is known, “he added, although he did not provide any details of the operation.
“Is the Covid over?”
The dissemination of the images of the act woke up the repudiation on social media.
“Outrageous image of Gildo Insfrán. Formosa was known internationally for the violation of human rights that he caused due to the pandemic,” he said. Brenda austin, radical deputy for Córdoba, who attached a photograph with the full stadium.
“The perfect example of authoritarianism who believes that the rules are for another and not for one. Explicit Kirchnerism, “he warned.
Mario Arce, from the same bench, joined.
“A year and a half of confinement, persecution, business closings, dismissals and violations of all kinds of rights against the citizen of Formosa. But one day the person in charge (Gildo Insfrán) appears and presents his candidates in a closed place and no protocols. Speechless“, he lamented.
And the councilor Celeste Ruiz Díaz was perplexed, in a Facebook post. “I’m confused. Act. People without distancing. Zero protocol. Is the COVID over? “, he asked himself.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Insfran government has accumulated complaints of irregularities and alleged human rights violations in compulsory isolation centers. He was also singled out for arrest militants of the opposition in mobilizations against the implemented measures.
Formosa executed the toughest restrictions to prevent the circulation of the virus, which had a huge impact on the provincial economy and prompted the reaction of merchants.
From the affected sectors they denounced that the government did not respond to their requests to relax the restrictions and that, instead, they suffered “persecution”, with arrests at the doors of their homes.
Finally, Formosa lightened restrictions on Monday. Extended business hours, enabled the casino opening and gyms, in addition to allowing family gatherings of up to ten people.
“Only now face-to-face classes have returned. In Formosa capital since the start of the pandemic we never had face-to-face classes, nor with bubble. The gastronomic sector was enabled until midnight, before until 19. Only now you can circulate, before also until 19 and from that time there was police checkpoints and they made you causes“, said Ruiz Díaz.
Meanwhile, cultural, social, recreational and religious events in closed spaces can be carried out with a quota of 50%. A limit that seems not to have governed the act of Insfrán.
