Warehouse builders supported Wildberries in conflict with VB Development
Eight of the largest construction companies from among the contractors for the construction of warehouses and logistics centers of Wildberries have issued open letters in which they express their readiness to continue construction and complete the projects on time, despite the statements of the top management of VB Development (100 percent owned by Vladislav Bakalchuk). This was reported to Lenta.ru by the press service of the United Company of Wildberries and Russ.
Such letters were signed by the general directors of Stroy-TsOR, Pikstroy, Stroysoyuz, NSO, Buildservice, Maksinzheneringgroup, Shpunt-Servis Montazh and Tekhsnabservis.
The company executives stated that they were not prepared to be an instrument of pressure on Wildberries by VB Development. They added that they were aware of the importance of the projects for the Russian economy, entrepreneurs and consumers, as well as for their employees and their families. Therefore, the heads of the contracting organizations confirmed their readiness to continue business relations with the new structure, which is part of RVB (the legal entity of the United Company Wildberries and Russ).
“Our companies have always adhered to the principles of open and honest business conduct, earned their reputation over many years and found full understanding on the part of the united company RVB,” says the letter from the company “Buildservice”.
Earlier, the United Company Wildberries and Russ began the process of transferring development projects, which were handled by VB Development, to its subsidiary in order to maintain the pace of construction and erect logistics facilities on time. This happened because VB Development did not fulfill its obligations.
On September 18, a shooting took place near the Wildberries office near the Kremlin. As a result, the ex-husband of the company’s founder, Vladislav Bakalchuk, was detained and arrested. He was charged under four criminal articles, including Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The entrepreneur faces up to 20 years in prison.
On September 19, the Wildberries press service told Lenta.ru that after the attack on Wednesday, September 18, on the Moscow offices, all services, pick-up points and logistics facilities are operating normally. In addition, Wildberries reported that the company has declared a day of mourning for the victims of the attack, as a result of which two security guards did not survive. Their relatives will be provided with financial assistance.
