Conmebol’s decision
Enrique Galdo, in charge of maintaining the stage, told ED Sports that Conmebol will carry out two inspections of the match venue this week. One of these was on Tuesday and the other this Wednesday.

They will also examine the entire stadium, including entrances, seats and changing rooms. Everything is ready for Thursday,” Galdo told ED Sports.
Galdo also referred to the current state of the stadium grass. “We’ve had warmer weather, it’s been hotter. There have not been many frosts and that favors the grass. Only on Monday did a light rain fall that lasted approximately 40 minutes. There was also some hail, but, In short, the playing field is in very good condition, better than against Venezuela,” he noted.
Galdo explained that the stage and the grass will be touched up to meet the demands of Conmebol. “This Tuesday, we will begin with the painting of the lines. Between today and tomorrow the last cuts will be made. The only things remaining are details such as cutting the grass to 22 millimeters, since Conmebol requires it to be between 20 and 25,” he stated.
