Congressman calls on not to prevent Israel from striking Iran’s nuclear facilities
Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence of the US House of Representatives Mike Turner said that Washington should not interfere with a possible Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. His words are quoted by the TV channel CBS.
“This is another area where the current administration has fallen short,” Turner said.
According to him, American President Joe Biden previously noted that Iran’s nuclear program is not considered a target and that it should not be a military target for Israel or the United States. When asked whether he believed Iran’s nuclear facilities should be considered as a possible strike target, Turner responded in the affirmative.
“Biden himself has previously stated that the United States should not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, and that he would take military action if necessary,” the congressman concluded.
Earlier, the United States made a proposal to Israel to provide compensation if it refused to attack a number of targets on Iranian territory in response to the attack on the Jewish state.
