The plenary session of the Congress of Deputies has approved the appointment of José Pablo López Sánchez as the new president of RTVE, a network to which he will return after being dismissed in March as director of General Content due to differences in criteria in hiring decisions. .
By 178 votes in favor, two above the absolute majority, and without the participation of PP or Vox, the Socialists’ proposal to name José Pablo López president has gone ahead with the support of the Government’s partners.
As happened with the appointment of the new members of RTVE, a second vote was necessary to elect José Pablo López since in the first he did not achieve the support of two-thirds of the Chambers, as required by the new decree.
