Mexico is a place full of diversity, great architecture and gastronomy, however, when Xbox announced that Forza Horizon 5 would be located in Mexico, the concern of many Mexicans was: Will it be realistic even in the folkloric of its cars and its faults in the pavement?
Of course we refer to the classic design of the taxis that are usually Tsurus and the potholes in their streets. The desire to see this in the game is such that the fans opened a request.
To find out, we spoke to Mike Brown, Creative Director of Forza Horizon 5 and Don Arceta, art director. So will we see potholes or not?
‘We have taxis in the game. It is very representative and the people of Mexico will recognize them. And we also have potholes. The technology allowed us to put a lot of detail on it, such as cracks, wear and potholes in the streets, ‘Arceta explained. However, the managers also specified that all this was only going to be visual and there would be no way that they would damage your car.
“We are representing this aspect as well as we can,” Arceta concluded.
The most Mexican of Forza Horizon 5
We take the opportunity to ask you something that is also very important: what is the most Mexican thing about this game?
After much thought, the creative director’s response was: ‘Ramiro’.
It is about a character whom Abraham Vega, a famous Mexican voice actor, brings it to life. He will be a runner and friend in the game, who apparently will give him a lot of the Mexican atmosphere.
Managers say they were impressed with Vega since the audition.
Forza Horizon 5, the upcoming open-world racing game from Playground Games, will be available starting November 9 this year for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
The best thing is that if you are a subscriber to the Game Pass service, you will be able to access the game from day 1.
