Confcommercio, harassment of a secretary. Sangalli blackmailed
A legal matter has overwhelmed the president of Confcommercio, Carlo Sangalli. In 2017 Giuseppe Guzzetti – reads the Corriere della Sera – then president of the Cariplo Foundation, receives an anonymous letter referring to “Boccaceschi acts” from Carlo Sangalli, deputy in the Foundation. The letter concerns the alleged harassment reported by Giovanna Venturini, Sangalli’s secretary in Confcommercio Milano, who is now accused of extortion against the head of the merchants.
Guzzetti – continues the Corriere – was called to testify during a probative incident and recalled the talks he had with Sangalli and the requests received. “At first he denied it, but then he asked me for help. He told me that something had happened, but that it was the lady who provoked him, that she was a busty. After some time he told me that he had found a solution, that is to tell you to pay her a sum in money and submit your resignation as president of Confcommercio “. The payment of 216 thousand took place in January 2018 in front of a notary, but the resignation did not take place.
