Quaest was the company most aligned with results among the main companies; AtlasIntel diverges from the TSE investigation
The main polls in the 10 capitals with the most voters had different results in relation to the numbers recorded at the polls. THE Quaest was the company that came closest to the data from the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) on Sunday (6.Oct.2024).
Quaest did not present results outside the margin of error in Recife and Rio. In São Paulo, it did not differ in any of the 4 candidates with the most votes – including Ricardo Nunes (MDB) and Guilherme Boulos (Psol), which will go to the 2nd round on October 27th.
THE Power360 compared data from surveys carried out on the eve of the 1st round of municipal elections.
The institute that differed the most among those analyzed was the AtlasIntelwhich conducts surveys using questionnaires on the internet. The difference between the result and the estimate for the candidates with the most votes exceeds 10 percentage points in cities such as Porto Alegre, Recife and Fortaleza. In the case of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, the 4 most voted candidates were outside the margin in the polls.
THE Datafolha presented results outside the margin of error for the candidate with the most votes in 3 cities: São Paulo, Fortaleza and Belo Horizonte. It was successful in Recife and Rio, where there was already an indication of victory in the 1st round.
