International Top floorball has longed for new winds, and Sweden presented them at the World Championships in Helsinki.

Even before the World Cup attention was drawn to what was described as the roughing department Sweden’s third-court, which, in addition to playing ball, has caused confusion with its physical play.

The field delivered on its promises at the World Cup. Kevin Haglundin, Jesper Sankellin and Linus Nordgrenin Vitja confused, collided and annoyed the Finns in the first round and in the finals.

In addition, the carnivores scored a lot of goals, including a 3–2 hit from Sweden in the final. And Sweden took the World Cup gold with a score of 6–4.

Is this one of the new developments in floorball?

Sometimes in the past, the Swedish floorball team has annoyed the Finns mainly with their superiority.

Such a straightforward and visible effort to tease Finns under the skin is new in the top floorball. In addition, Sweden was smart, that is, understood to stop on time.

My game didn’t mix.

Finland, which previously operated with narrower player material, has built clear roles for the chains, but Sweden has now taken the role one step further.

And it worked. Finland was at times amazed with the Swedish tricks when the judiciary allowed action. The emotional level of the match rose and the audience also enjoyed it.

Will a country soon assemble a similar one, or will it develop Petteri Nykky with their staffs something else new?

What about in what mode is the Finnish team?

The future looks good as the defense begins to age.

In floorball discussions, the individual skills of Swedes are often praised, but the Finnish team does not lag behind in personal skills either.

For example Peter Kotilainen, Ville Lastikka, Nico Salo and Sami Johansson represent an attacking and scoring force that the Swedes are jealous of.

The quartet is between the ages of 25 and 28, so they have the best years to play ahead, no matter how many.

In addition, for example Justus Kainulainen and Eetu Sikkinen made their debut at the World Cup. Rinki is currently so wide that many top players missed out on home games.

What about how does floorball go wider?

The Helsinki World Championships reflect the state of a very young sport. The small countries of the World Cup tournament are still real small countries, whose place as a club team would be somewhere in Finland’s lower leagues.

And a large part of the matches of the World Cup tournament were played in the training hall of the Helsinki Ice Rink in conditions that would not be suitable for the Finnish F-league.

The Czech Republic has already won the last two World Cup golds at the age of 19, and it wouldn’t be a big surprise that in the next few years, the same players would celebrate the Adult World Championships.

The earlier the Czech Republic celebrates, the better for the sport: laughter would be reduced from a one-off. Now the final place of the Czech Republic was close, as Finland was in the bottom line for a long time.

Switzerland could win the final place and the championship as well. The rarity would be time to end.
