THE final stretch of the Colombian championship is turbulent due to the distrust that some teams have towards refereeing, at a time when the remaining qualifiers are being defined in home runs.

The first was Independiente Medellín, who demanded an arbitration review for the game in which they beat Patriotos on matchday 17 of the League.
Then it was Once Caldas that asked for this type of guarantee, for the game they will play this Saturday visiting junior.
Well this Friday América de Cali joined the list, which also has disagreement with the appointment of its referee for this Sunday's match against Santa Fe.
The scarlet team issued a statement in which it reported its discomfort with the appointment of center back Edilson Ariza for the game in El Campín.
”The club, through its regular channels, has repeatedly expressed said nonconformity, to which it has received incongruous responses that denote that there has not been an analytical or detailed process by the Arbitration Commission when it comes to ruling on the facts that have given rise to the different claims filed,” says part of the statement.
America vehemently rejects Ariza's appointment, “for which reason it requests the accompaniment of an arbitration observer.”
América had already complained in 2023 about a match against Chicó in which Ariza was the center back. They describe him as a referee with “questionable records” with America.
América has just protested the refereeing in the match against Pasto in the middle of the week.
The game against Santa Fe will be this Sunday, April 21 at the El Campín stadium, on date 18 of the League.
