A match in the Jordan Football Association Shield championship sparked a great controversy on social media, after the two teams played the same colors of shirts, in clear violation of regulations, and the situation continued throughout the first half for 45 minutes, before the shirts were changed in the second half.
The match between Shabab Al-Urdun and Mughir Al-Sarhan, at Prince Muhammad Stadium in Zarqa, in the second round of the Jordan Federation Shield, witnessed a strange case when the players of the two teams went to the stadium, wearing red shirts and black shorts.
Followers of the match were surprised by the referee, Israa Al-Mubaidin, allowing the two teams to appear in one-color shirts, which is an unprecedented incident in Jordanian stadiums, and is considered an explicit violation of football regulations and instructions.
The refereeing team took care of the matter in the second half of the match, as the Jordan Youth team entered the half with blue shirts, while Al-Sarhan’s shadow kept his red shirts.
The fans are waiting for the Jordanian Federation’s reaction to the incident, and will it punish the international referee, Isra Al Mubaidin, who is the first woman to referee a men’s match in Jordanian football last year, or will the punishment be on one of the two teams?
Mugheer Al-Sarhan had defeated Shabab Al-Jordan with a goal, and this victory is considered historic for the team as it is the first in its first appearance in professional club competitions, to raise its score to 3 points, equal to Shabab Al-Jordan.
