With just over two months in the field of war, this soldier has dedicated himself to fighting soldiers, but also to healing, feeding and rescuing those who have little voice in these conflicts, the animals.
After an interview conducted by Noticias Caracol, Camacho echoed his war in which he seeks to rescue as many animals as possible, and overcoming the food limitation, manages to get out of his rations to share with dogs and cats orphaned by the war.
“Rescue as many animals as possible from ground zero,” was Camacho’s response to the question about his mission in Ukraine. But in addition, he affirms that “Here there is no food for animals. Neither for dogs nor for cats. From my campaign rations I take canned food, I go out and I give it to the dogs”, describing the complexity of his work.

Likewise, he affirmed that many other soldiers accompany him in his work and that regardless of the difficulties in terms of language, many of the combatants have understood their mission and collaborate with it, either feeding other animals, or providing rations to feed them.
Likewise, Camacho stressed that in his bunker he is now accompanied, in addition to the soldiers, by 10 animals that he has rescued. during the crossing in Ukraine, emphasizing ‘Kiarsha’, a small puppy that, as he describes it, is just over four months old.
In addition, after talking about his mission, he sent a message to Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, of whom he highlighted the love he has for animals, but to whom he implores that “if you want the animals, please don’t kill them anymore.” ”, ending with a deep cry of pain.

Now, Camacho awaits a response from the Colombian consulate in Colombia for the rescue of the ten animals that he has managed to protect in Ukraine, and if possible, a few dozen more to take them out of combat zones.
Finally, the Colombian states that “this is a cruel and merciless war, not only with people, but with animals” and although he considers himself “a swallow calling the sea”, he hopes to continue his rescue mission on Ukrainian soil.
