Cobra Kai will return in 2024 with the sixth and final season on Netflix. Many can't wait to see how the series will continue and fans are trying to find out some new detail via creator Jon Hurwitz.
“Without naming names, how likely is it that we will see a new appearance from one of the 4 Karate Kid movies?” one fan asked via Twitter. “I can't promise the hawk or any Oscar winner in this photo – I'll never give away potential spoilers – but rest assured that we will have the return of at least one character from the Karate Kid films who hasn't appeared in Cobra Kai yet,” Hurwitz said.
Hurwitz's words refer to the photo present in the fan's tweet, as you can see above. Jokingly, he states that we won't see the hawk or Pat Morita – actor of the master Nariyoshi Miyagi -, especially because the latter died in 2005.
Will Hilary Swank return as Julie Pierce?
The photograph used by the fan finally shows Julie Pierce, played by Hilary Swank. Although Hurwitz has not made any reference to her in any way, or perhaps because of this, there is a possibility that she is the character set to return.
In fact, we recall that Hurwitz told Fandom, in 2022, “All we can say about her is that we love Hilary Swank. We think she's a phenomenal actress and we love her character in this franchise. She was mentored by Mr. Miyagi and is an important person to the Karate Kid universe. We can't say if she'll come back, we can't say how she'll come back if she were to come back.”
“We can say we talk about her and maybe we've met her, maybe we've worked with her, maybe not,” he continued. “We can't tell you anything! It will continue to be a question until it comes up or the series ends and we take the question every time!”
The chances of her returning to the series are about to end, so let's hope the time has come.
