Insurance company Fennia says it will start co-operation negotiations concerning about 530 employees in the non-life insurance business.

The negotiations are based on streamlining the business, with which the company states that it aims to improve its customer experience and profitability.

According to Fennia, the planned measures could lead to a reduction of up to 137 employees or a material change in employment. The company says that efforts are being made to limit possible staff reductions to new positions. The final staff impact will be strengthened after the negotiations.

Fennian Chief Operating Officer of the non-life insurance business Antti Huhtalan according to customers, customers expect more and more digital and real-time insurance services. Among other things, the company says that it will reorganize its customer service.

“We are developing something new and making the largest investments in our history. At the same time, we must take care of the company’s profitability, ”Huhtala says in a Fennia press release.

According to Fennia, the number of customer visits to branches has decreased significantly over the years as customers have switched to digital channels.
