Every second shirt for a student in Russia is not recommended for wearing, experts from Roskachestvo warned. This is stated in research organization, a copy of which is at the disposal of “Lenta.ru”.
Experts checked the products of 35 brands, including Zara, Gulliver, O’Stin and Marks & Spencer, as well as Russian brands Finn Flare, Smena, Start and Peremena. Some clothes were found to be dangerous.
“Almost every second product from the investigated ‘does not breathe’, the fabric does not absorb moisture and does not take it away from the body,” the study says. At the same time, only two shirts out of 35 turned out to be of excellent quality and did not cause any complaints from the inspectors.
Counterfeiting remains one of the main problems in the market. For example, Fashion Leader claimed 80 percent cotton, and the shirt fabric was 100 percent polyester. The hygroscopicity of this product is also extremely low – 1.6 percent. At the same time, the shirt of this brand is the cheapest of the investigated – 411 rubles.
In 2019, Roskachestvo specialists tested school jackets. 28 brands were tested on 61 indicators. Only two of them claim the quality mark, but 11 jackets turned out to be unsafe and lost their rating. Among the violators are clothing from popular brands Zara and H&M.
