Three clubs in San Luis Potosí were closed for not having the corresponding permits, they indicated the State Coordination of Civil Protection (CEPC) and the Department of the Interior, who detailed that the three were property of the owner of “Rich”, where two young people died last weekend.
Through a statement, the CEPC and the Directorate of the Interior detailed that the three closed clubs are the “Azul Fuego” restaurant bar in Pedro Moreno, “Central Bar” in Venustiano Carranza, and the “RUA Club” bar in Sierra Leone.
It should be noted that they are all located in the same Alttus Square and were owned by the businessman behind the controversial “Rich” and were closed due to the lack of state permits necessary to operate legally.
Mauricio Ordaz Flores, director of the CEPC of San Luis Potosí, indicated that inspection operations in clubs and restaurants will be intensified to guarantee compliance with established safety standards.

In addition, he emphasized that the possession of municipal permits does not exempt from the scrutiny of state authorities.
“Rich” club operated without permission
It should be noted that previously, the head of the CEPC revealed that the “Rich” club, where the fatal incident that left two dead occurred, was operating without the necessary permits issued by the CEPC.
Ordaz Flores also highlighted that a previous inspection carried out in March had already detected deficiencies in the establishment’s security measures, urging the site’s administration to take the necessary measures to obtain the corresponding permits.
Furthermore, it was discovered that the event that took place at “Rich” on the night of the incident did not have CEPC approval, as the establishment had not submitted the special program required to carry out such activities.
