The mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero, made her membership in the socialist party available to the PSOE yesterday, but did not resign after having been vaccinated against Covid-19, despite the fact that she is not among the risk groups that she contemplates the first phase of the Ministry of Health protocol: users of residences, centers for people with disabilities and toilets.
Despite pressure from the other municipal groups, including Podemos, his coalition partner in the City Council, Clavero did not consider resigning: “I feel calm,” he said. Minutes after this statement, the general secretary of the PSRM, Diego Conesa, announced the provisional suspension of Clavero as a socialist militant.
The mayor of Molina de Segura appeared before the media in the Plenary Hall, after the weekly session to update the Covid data in the Region. Clavero, who was accompanied by her entire government team, reiterated that she had not used her position to get vaccinated and that she followed the instructions of the doctors at the Antonio García health center. «I did not want to get the vaccine, but they insisted. I got vaccinated at the time they called me, with light and stenographers and with other patients who were scheduled at the same time. At no point did I hide or think I was doing anything wrong. ”
The mayor indicated that that appointment was last Thursday 14 at 2:15 p.m. and that, when they called her to inform her of the time at which she should go, she asked if she had to inoculate the first dose on that date, “and they told me that yes, but I insisted on the question and they checked with the management of the Murcian Health Service, from where they confirmed the vaccination, ”Clavero explained.
However, the SMS yesterday denied this point, while announcing that it had opened an investigation reserved for Emilio Macanás, the general practitioner and coordinator of the health center who signed a letter justifying the inoculation of the drug to the mayor of Molina, ” due to his high-risk oncological pathology ”, highlights the document dated January 20.
From the PP, a party that Clavero accused of “trying to use” his health to “whitewash the actions of others”, in reference to the vaccination of Villegas and other high officials of the Ministry of Health, some leaders confirmed that the doctor who signed that document maintains a sentimental relationship with the councilor. “He was vaccinated because his partner is the coordinator of the health center”, published the senator for Murcia Francisco Bernabé on his Twitter account. On this matter, Clavero did not want to reveal his personal relationship with the coordinator of the health center, with whom LA VERDAD also contacted yesterday: «I am not going to answer you; that belongs to my absolute privacy “, answered the doctor to the questions of this newspaper.
