The presidential candidate of the “Let's Keep Making History” coalition, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardomade a strategic visit to Acapulco, Guerrero, where he presented a complete reconstruction and development plan for the region, committing to promote the progress and well-being of the population affected by Hurricane Otis and other adversities.
In an emotional event that was attended by local political leaders and coalition candidates, Sheinbaum highlighted the supportive and resilient spirit of the people of Guerrero and assured that Acapulco and Guerrero are not alone in their recovery process.
“The people of Acapulco and Guerrero are not alone, they are standing and they will be better than before Hurricane Otis. I want them to be certain that we are going to continue with the Fourth Transformation, that we are going to support Acapulco, that we are not going to to be left alone,” said Sheinbaum.
The candidate reaffirmed her commitment to working in collaboration with the state and local government to promote reconstruction and development projects that benefit the entire region.
Among the initiatives announced is the expansion of important highways, such as Toluca-Tejupilco-Coyuca de Catalán-La Unión-Zihuatanejo and Cuautla-Tlapa-Marqueliaas well as the improvement of road infrastructure on the coast of Guerrero.
Additionally, Sheinbaum proposed the implementation of a comprehensive economic plan inspired by the policies of General Lázaro Cárdenas, which includes measures to promote economic growth, job creation and sustainable development in the region.
“We are going to recover the economic plan that General Lázaro Cárdenas implemented for Guerrero, Michoacán and the State of Mexico. This plan will be a comprehensive investment that promotes the development of the entire area and moves Guerrero forward,” stated the candidate.
At the event, Sheinbaum was accompanied by political leaders of the coalition, including the coordinator of links with Civil Organizations and Mexicans Abroad, Marcelo Ebrardwho praised the candidate's commitment to the reconstruction of Acapulco and her support for the people of Guerrero.
Likewise, the candidate for senator, Félix Salgado Macedonio, highlighted the historical importance of Guerrero and his role in the construction of the country, while the candidate for senator, Beatriz Mojica Morga, highlighted the importance of Sheinbaum reaching the Presidency of Mexico to continue with the social justice programs initiated by the current government.
The visit of Sheinbaum and his team was received with enthusiasm by the local population, who saw in these proposals hope for the future of Guerrero and Acapulco, and a sign of the federal government's commitment to their well-being and development.
