“Congratulations to the Mexican people for the important victory of Claudia Sheinbaum, the first female president of Mexico!”, stated on her social networks the head of the PT, deputy Gleisi Hoffmann, who accompanied the election day from the North American country.

The Government of Cuba celebrated the “historic election” of the candidate. The president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, highlighted on social networks that Sheinbaum is the first woman to become president of Mexico and advocated continuing to strengthen bilateral relations.
“Count on the Cuban willingness to continue strengthening the endearing brotherhood that unites our people,” Díaz-Canel wrote.
The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, said early in the morning that Sheinbaum’s election is a “triumph” for Mexico and that together they will work for a “united” Latin America.

Also at dawn, the secretary general of the Organization of American States sent his congratulations. “Count on the @OAS_oficial to work together and for the social justice of our peoples on the agenda of Democracy, Human Rights, Comprehensive Development and Security,” Almagro wrote in his X account.
The president of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, also sent his congratulations to Sheinbaum, whom he wished success in his administration. “We will work to further strengthen the ties between our countries,” the president said in a message published on his social networks.

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, also joined the wave of congratulations and highlighted the “extraordinary demonstration of civility and democracy” during election day in Mexico.

Europe joins the good wishes
“Congratulations Claudia Sheinbaum on your historic election as the first female president of Mexico,” she said through her X account, in which she added that “Mexico and the EU share deep historical, economic and cultural ties.”
The head of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, has highlighted that, for the first time in its history, the North American country will have a woman as president.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov noted that the two states have been cooperating for some time and added: “We hope that under the new leadership in Mexico our relations will receive further development, a new impetus.”
