The City of São Paulo works with the possibility of releasing the local runway of Marginal Tietê, where a crater was opened this week because of an accident at the work of Line 6-Orange of the Metro, at the end of March. On the morning of this Friday, 4th, Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) visited the place and talked about the asphalt recovery work. “There is no concrete forecast. But there is a possibility that, until March 31, the release can be made. The date may change due to the stability of the soil”, explained the mayor.
The visit also included the presence of Government secretaries, Rubens Rizek; Urban Infrastructure and Works, Marcos Monteiro; and Communication, Marcus Vinicius Sinval; the Executive Secretary of Sub-Prefectures, Caio Luz; and the assistant secretary for Mobility and Traffic, Alexandre Trunkl. They were there to see up close the emergency work on the new roadway, which will connect Rua Aquinos to Avenida Embaixador Macedo Soares (Marginal Tietê local road). The local lane has been closed since the accident on Tuesday, while the central and express lanes are already open to drivers. In the vicinity of the accident, fences were installed. “So that we can also start the work to reinforce and retake the sewage receiver, recover it, so that we can free up the local lane”, said Paulo Galli, secretary of Metropolitan Transport.
Detour
Blocking the local lane takes place on the Marginal do Tietê between the Piqueri and Freguesia do Ó Bridges, in the direction of the Ayrton Senna Highway. On Monday, when the rotation of vehicles will be valid again, an alternative route will be released by the City Hall to receive the flow of vehicles that would pass through the local lane. The mayor informed that this route is intended to serve the public transport lines that pass through there and motorcyclists. He stressed that it will be a one-way lane and the cost of these works is borne by the Acciona concessionaire, responsible for the Metro works.
