Positive May on the Italian market for Citroën. The French car manufacturer closed the fifth month of the year with around 7,000 registrations in our country, for a share of 4.32%. Citroen’s growth trend in Italy is therefore confirmed as constant: since January, in fact, the French brand has been recording growth every month compared to the same period last year, so much so that the Italian market is the second most important market after the French one for the company.
Citroen, sales growing
Citroen therefore grows in May, we are talking about +1.17% in terms of share and +30% in volumes, but also in the cumulative first five months of the year: in this case the market share is 4.5%, +0.7% compared to the same period of 2023, while volumes are equal to approximately 37,000 registrations, an increase of 25%. Between the individual models surprises C3: the current generation of the model is in fact the second best-selling vehicle in Italy and is first in its segment, while the new generation has already achieved over 1,600 contracts, waiting for the imminent arrival at the dealership.
C3, C5X and Ami
Of course, a boost in terms of sales came from more or less the entire Citroen range. There C5Xjust to give another example, is first in the D segment, that of mainstream sedans, considering all engines, with a segment share of 73%, while the little Ami confirms itself as the queen among electric minicars in the current year with a 45% segment share, a share that drops to 30% (still very high) if all engine options are considered.
