Petrol, diesel, and now also hybrid. Or better, Hybrid 136: we are talking about the Citroen C4 and C4 The French car manufacturer has announced that the next C4 Hybrid 136 can already be ordered with prices starting from 30,550 euros, while the C4 first deliveries are scheduled for May.
Hybrid system
What distinguishes this version of the two models is the technology Hybrid 48V, which includes a 48V battery that recharges during some phases of driving, a 3 cylinder petrol engine 136 HP new generation gearbox designed to adapt to the hybrid concept, and an electrified e-DCS6 dual clutch gearbox, which incorporates a 21 kW e-Motor electric motor produced in France.
Lower consumption and emissions
According to the French car manufacturer, this version of the C4 and C4 by almost 20% compared to an equivalent petrol version, ensuring the possibility of completing 50% of urban journeys in fully electric mode. Lower consumption therefore, but in certain cases greater performance: in the event of strong acceleration, in fact, the electric engine delivers an additional power of 9 kW, approximately 12 HP, offering the driver a more convincing response.
Electric and petrol
A more in-depth look at the elements that make up the hybrid system of the Hybrid 136 version launched by Citroen. The petrol engine is a new generation 1.2 PureTech 1199 cm3 three-cylinder, which registers a power of 136 HP and a torque of 230 Nm, while the one 100% electric consists of a permanent magnet synchronous motor capable of delivering a peak power of 28 HP and a torque of 55 Nm. The system overview is completed by a 48 V belt-driven starter motor, a new e-DCS6 electrified gearbox, a 48V lithium ion battery with an available capacity of 432 Wh and a voltage converter.
