There is a newcomer to the Italian GT Championship: it is the Roman driver Luca Maria Attianese, who will be at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo of Ermanno Dionisio’s Team Italy.
The entry into the Lazio tricolor series is a real debut at the wheel of a GT car. Attianese will be involved in the Sprint series with the 2021 version of the Toro car, while the second driver is yet to be confirmed, given the tests scheduled before the start of the season.
Attianese will get into the car next Wednesday in Cremona and will be the first contact with the car from Sant’Agata Bolognese, after the test carried out with Imperiale Racing in September 2021, but aboard the GT3.
Attianese started with karts at an old age, 19, continuing his career on touring cars, on the occasion of the 2018 Mini Challenge in the Vallelunga race. After a period of rest he got back in the car for the 3h and 24h of Adria in 2019.

In 2020 he entered the Coppa Italia Turismo of the Peroni Race Group with Elite Motorsport at the wheel of the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR DSG, with the arrival in third position in the final classification, unfortunately missing the last home race in Vallelunga.
At the end of the season he takes part in the 6h in Rome with PB Racing on board the Lotus Elise; good performances but a problem denied him a sure podium.
In 2021 he arrived in the Mini Challenge PRO Class and fought for the title with a knife between his teeth throughout the season, finishing second in the Championship. Now, this new car from 2022 in the Italian GT Championship.
“I am very happy with this opportunity, happy to have found Ermanno Dionisio and Team Italy – he tells Motorsport.com – Finally a qualitative leap in my” young “career!”
“The GT Tricolore is certainly one of the most representative championships, the starting grid will be very rich and it will be important to have the car in hand from the first race”.
