The creation of Don Mancini arrives again on TV, this time with a television series. Exactly, we are talking about Chucky, whose first episode was broadcast on October 12 in the United States through SyFy and USA Network. However, Child’s play fans in Latin America received the premiere of the long-awaited title on October 27, through Star Plus. Next, we leave you the summary of the first episode.

What happened in Chucky, the series episode 1?
The first episode of Chucky, the series begins with a somewhat ‘stalker’ shot. We see a woman combing her hair on a dressing table, and the whole scene indicates that we are in the past. When the camera zooms in on the young woman, she quickly has a shocked reaction, before the sequence cuts off abruptly to bring us back to the present.
During a garage sale, Jake Wheeler notices in the distance that there is a curious doll with whom he makes an immediate connection. It is about Chucky, a toy for which the teenager pays 10 dollars and retires. But, the saleswoman notices that one of her knives mysteriously disappears.
After a series of events, in which it is made clear that the town of Hackensack has had an excessive increase in cases of deaths, the protagonist goes to his house, where it is revealed that he buys dolls to mutilate them and make them a sculpture of art. Something he was going to do with Chucky, until he is interrupted by his father.

The presence of the boy’s father also brings about the development of the character: he is a widowed man, whose grief for the death of his wife leads him to distance himself from his son and reduce his sadness with alcohol. This last point leads to a family dinner that concludes with Lucas destroying his son’s artwork.
The next day, Jake takes Chucky to school, only to become a public mockery of the school, following a malicious joke on the part of Lexy, the girlfriend of his cousin Junior. After the incident, and with the warning of his father, the character played by Zachary Arthur decides to leave his strange doll at school.
After that, the young man puts his new acquisition up for sale, when he receives a call from a potential buyer, who, far from being interested in the product, warns him to get rid of it (the fans believe that he is Andy Barclay adult), but the connection is cut. Something that makes the boy nervous, especially when he realizes that the diabolical child artifact is back in his home.

Chucky’s first fatality
During a school presentation, Chucky manifests himself before everyone but makes the public believe that he is being handled by Jake, as if he were a puppet. That is where they begin their journey together. When his father finds out that he has been suspended from school for what happened in the talent show, Lucas becomes enraged with his son, which ends in a physical attack on the child. This triggers the first fatality: the man is electrocuted to death after having set foot in a puddle of rum that Chucky himself vomited.
The police officers arrive at the crime scene and decide that the protagonist must move in with his uncles. In his room, alone with his doll, in a sequence that winks at Child’s play 1, the boy says to his stranger: “Talk to me, damn it.” At that moment he receives a slap from the possessed toy, followed by a phrase “Hello, I am Chucky and I will be your friend to the end”, with a tone of voice that is consistent with his sinister tendencies.

Chucky the series: end of the first chapter
At that moment, the viewer is taken back to the beginning, with the woman at the dressing table, where it is revealed that who was behind her was her little son with a cardboard mask. There, it is appreciated that the innocent smile that the little boy sketches in the mirror will become the twisted face of Charles Lee Ray.
