American actor Christopher Lloyd, best known for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, will join the cast of The Mandalorian for Season 3. On Friday, March 18, the publication reported hollywood reporter.
The Back to the Future actor is on the cast of The Mandalorian, the Disney+ Star Wars show currently filming its third season in Southern California.
It is assumed that Lloyd will take part in the project as a guest star.
The authors of the publication remind that the creators of The Mandalorian already have experience in attracting actors from legendary franchises. So, in the second season, one of the key roles was played by Michael Biehn, the star of “Terminator” and “Aliens”.
A Star Wars spin-off by George Lucas called The Mandalorian was released on the Disney+ streaming service in late 2019. The plot revolves around the adventures of a lone bounty hunter forced to go on the run. Shortly after the premiere, the series gained massive popularity on social networks. Later, the project won a number of prestigious awards, including the Emmy.
