Chivas de Guadalajara and Club América will meet in the semifinals of Clausura 2024 of the MX League. These teams have met three times this semester (two in the Concacaf Champions Cup and one more in the league tournament). The Sacred Flock added a victory, a defeat and a draw in this journey.
To reach this stage, Chivas de Guadalajara had to win against Toluca in a tie in which the rojiblancos did not shine. For the National Classic, the team led by Fernando Gago must show its best version. The first leg will take place at Akron Stadium this Wednesday, May 15.

The good news for Fernando Gago is that he currently does not have many injured players in the squad, except Raúl Martínez, who has been injured since February and who cannot be taken into account for the remainder of the semester.
Likewise, Chivas de Guadalajara does not have suspended players, so Gago will be able to use practically his entire squad to face América in the first semifinal match.
