Solomon Chertorivsky, Citizen Movement candidate for the Head of Government of Mexico City, proposed a constitutional reform that would give the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office the ability to defend victims.
We have to dedicate the Prosecutor’s Office to caring for the victims, not to receiving complaints and putting together investigation files, said the orange party candidate in the third Chilango debate, organized by the Electoral Institute of Mexico City.
To achieve this, I am going to send a reform to Congress where the Prosecutor’s Office is dedicated to defending victims, Chertorivski highlighted. The police will investigate, compile files and the Prosecutor’s Office will seek justice, he added.
We are going to strengthen the professional career for prosecutors and experts with good salaries, and there will be good coordination between the Public Ministry and the judges, with the objective of removing those 20 thousand criminals from the streets who are the ones who steal the peace of the city, he pointed out.
Capital Force
Salomón Chertorivski also pointed out that the Capital Force will be trained and empowered to receive complaints and initiate investigation files in defense of victims of a crime.
He said that CDMX has the largest police force in the country, 90 thousand elements, but it is fragmented into three corporations, the Banking Police, the Auxiliary Police and the Preventive Police.
The police officers will have good salaries, they will be better trained and they will be completely dedicated to taking care of the chilangos, he noted.
Chertorivski offered to improve the working conditions of police officers in exchange for a partnership for a job well done and honestly done.
