After the controversies and investigations that led to the Milan prosecutor's investigation into Chiara Ferragni, the famous designer Balocco pandoro is being sold at staggering prices on social media. A sort of collector's item, a fetish. And so we arrive at exorbitant prices. There are those who sell only the package for 150 euros or the expired pandoro for 599. Before the Balocco case, the pandoro was put on the shelves at the price of 9 euros.
There are even those who ask 50 euros for the bow alone. A phenomenon that is occurring on various shopping sites, as reported by Coldiretti, underlining that while the sales also reach the table for the typical products of the Christmas and New Year holidays, which can also be offered at discounts of up to 70%, the opportunity certainly does not apply to the dessert promoted by the influencer.
Not just pandoro. On e-commerce sites any Ferragni-branded gadget has appeared with unlikely prices. As Fanpage points out, the comb sold together with the Easter egg fluctuates between 70 and 90 euros, while the cardboard mask of the egg is also up for auction at 8 euros, plus 4 for shipping. Chiara Ferragni's first doll signed Trudi was put on sale for 2000 euros.
For the designer pandoro affair, Ferragni is under investigation by the Milan prosecutor's office on charges of aggravated fraud. And with her, Alessandra Balocco, CEO and president of the Piedmontese company producing the Christmas dessert sponsored by the influencer, also ended up in the register of suspects.
