Team India’s tour of Australia is going to start with the ODI series from 27 November. But the fans are eagerly waiting for the four-Test series starting on 17 December. Cheteshwar Pujara is being considered as the most important player for India in the four-Test series against Australia. One of the reasons why everyone is eyeing Pujara is his winning the Man of the Series award in the 2018-19 series.
Pujara made a significant contribution with the bat in the 2–1 win in the previous series against Australia. Pujara, batting at number three in this series, managed to score 521 runs with the help of three centuries. This year, due to Virat Kohli not taking part in three Tests, Pujara is also under additional pressure as a senior batsman.
In view of this, Pujara has started his practice for the preparation of this series. Pujara practiced batting on the balls of the nets bowlers. These nets bowlers also include Ravichandran Ashwin, who is touring with the Indian team.
The BCCI has posted a video on social media, in which Pujara is seen making good use of the backfoot and also dropping balls going out of the stumps.
The BCCI wrote, “The wait is over. Cheteshwar Pujara’s return to the nets. He has started doing what he likes to do the most. The bowler is also ready for a long time.”
Let us know that India’s tour of Australia will last about two months. Due to the recent changes in the Test Championship, this series has become very important for India.
