Sheikh Tahir Mahmud Ashrafi, Chairman of the Pakistan Scholars Council, praised the efforts of the United Arab Emirates in the fields of charitable work locally, regionally and internationally, stressing that the UAE is a “leading country” in charitable and humanitarian work. Ashrafie continued: “Since the announcement of its establishment on December 2, 1971, the UAE has been associated with its charitable initiatives concerned with providing a helping hand to the needy in various countries of the world, as well as its regional and international efforts to reduce poverty rates in developing and poor countries, through its charitable arms spread in many From all parts of the world, which made the world look at them with respect, appreciation and love.”
The Chairman of the Pakistan Scholars Council noted the keenness of the United Arab Emirates to provide unconditional charitable aid, to provide basic social services to the poor, and to support the families and children of the poor and needy, whether at the local, regional or international levels, stressing that the UAE has transformed the concepts of charitable work into humanitarian values that have a return. Sheikh Ashrafi touched on the importance of the recent charitable and relief aid provided by the UAE to the Republic of Pakistan, after several provinces in the past few days witnessed torrential rains and floods that resulted in deaths, injuries and displacements from these areas, stressing that the Emirati aid is “appreciated” by the Pakistani people. This is not strange for the Emirates, its leaders and its people. Islamic peoples have become accustomed to the charitable and humanitarian behavior of the Emirates, especially in times of hardship and adversity.
