The Moto3 championship will have a new, ambitious constructor in 2022: CFMoto. The brand will therefore enter into a partnership with the German Prüstel GP, which will be led by ex-world champion Thomas Luthi.
Surprising news? Not too bad, because CFMoto has already participated in several domestic racing series through national and international collaborations in recent years. In addition, CFMoto is the only Chinese factory team ever participated in the Isle of Man TT.
The CFMoto Moto3 racer is based on KTM RC4 Moto3. Both brands have been working together for several years, so the CFMoto team can rely on the experience and technical know-how of the Austrians.
Spaniards Xavier Artigas (@xaviartigas43) and Carlos Tatay (@carlostatay99) will be in the saddle. 18-year-old Xavier Artigas scored a podium in his first Grand Prix appearance in Valencia in 2019, having previously worked his way into the top three of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Tatay, also 18, is a former Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion and also a race winner in the FIM CEV Junior World Championship. He has now completed two Moto 3 seasons.
