The Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (Cepes) celebrates the agreement signed with the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, which will allow the identification and reduction of administrative burdens in the creation of social economy companies and the development of their activity.
The president of Cepes, Juan Antonio Pedreño, positively valued this agreement, which is a reflection of the complicity generated with the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration. “I believe that we are facing a great advance for the social economy, since we have identified administrative procedures that can contribute to the improvement and development of the Spanish social economy,” said Pedreño.
As stated in the document, published last Wednesday in the BOE, the agreement will be in force until December 31 of this year and, through it, Cepes will help identify unnecessary, redundant or excessive bureaucratic procedures and burdens that weigh on the creation of social economy companies or the development of their activity, will suggest changes or measures that facilitate their simplification or reduction, and will carry out informative actions in this regard among the business community.
Special attention will be paid to the obstacles to business and entrepreneurial activity in the social economy, with the analysis of obstacles linked to the rapid and agile creation of social economy companies, to the transformation of mercantile companies into social economy companies, as well as to aspects of the different social economy business models in terms of general records and procedures for setting up, operating and business consolidation.
The explanatory report with the proposals from Cepes to the Ministry on the procedures identified and the proposals to reduce charges will be accompanied by the corresponding estimate of the savings they will generate, the regulations to be modified and the competent body.
Likewise, different acts and forums will be held in which the policy of reducing administrative burdens of the General State Administration will be publicized, as well as the different projects related to the reduction of administrative burdens.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance will carry out advisory and assistance tasks, as well as monitoring the work carried out during the term of the agreement. Also dissemination and communication about the agreement and its results.
This agreement pursues “the modernization, rationalization and simplification of administrative procedures, inasmuch as it promotes the reduction of procedures and bureaucratic burdens, in addition to facilitating the relationship between citizens and the Administration, it contributes to reducing the administrative costs of operating the mercantile activities, helping to improve the competitiveness of companies and stimulate their development”, states the BOE.
