After having successfully tried many products from the Cecotec brand, we also wanted to try the new floor cleaner and vacuum cleaner FREEGO-Wash&Vacuum Spray, also attracted by its design at first glance. We will therefore try to tell you all our impressions on the use, functionality and characteristics of this Cecotec product.

Let’s start by telling you that, also in this case, the product arrived completely intact, thanks to the solidity of its packaging. As always, we would like to underline the presence of security seals, which guarantee that it has not been opened and that the product inside has not been tampered with.
Upon opening, you will find a large number of accessories positioned in compartments, each divided by bands of thick cardboard. Unlike other products of the same type, however, you will not find spare accessories such as, for example, a second roller or free detergent samples. Inside the packaging we therefore found:
- The support base for charging
- The mains power supply
- The motor body with applied
- The space for positioning the floor cleaning roller
- Battery
- The handle
- The clean water tank and the dirty water tank
- The plastic compartments fit into the support base, useful for inserting cleaning products
- The brush for cleaning the internal parts of FREEGO
- The floor cleaning roller
- A convenient multilingual instruction booklet (including Italian)
Our test
Assembling ours is really simple FREEGO, as it is very intuitive, thanks also to the user manual, which removes any doubts. Once assembled, you too will be struck by the large display installed on the top part of the motor body, through which not only the battery charge status is indicated at any time, but also the dirtiest areas of the floor via colored segments that they light up red when the sensors detect a greater concentration of dirt, turning blue after the area has been cleaned. This technology is also used by well-known brands.
Charged the battery and filled the tank with clean water water and appropriate detergentwhich must not be too foamy so as not to damage the electrical parts, we started our first cleaning.
The weight of the machine is not insignificant, but its power allows you to almost not feel the impact during use and in any case it is not much superior to devices of the same type. Both the clean water tank (on the back) and the dirty water tank (on the front) are inserted on the handle, near the motor body and this has a slight impact on maneuverability. On other floor cleaners the tanks are often located above the floor cleaner, but this position allows for capacity for cleaning liquid inferior. We completely approve of Cecotec’s choice to sacrifice some handling for greater capacity.
During the wash, we checked the sensor functionality which indicate a greater concentration of dirt, which works very well, but a slightly uneven floor, for example, may not make this feature functional.
Very comfortable, however fan spray, which distributes the cleaning liquid during the passage in a truly functional and useful way: it is activated via the lever button on the back of the handle. On the front, however, two buttons: the first will be used to turn it on and off FREEGO, the second to increase the suction power by approximately double. The roller is large, soft and extremely absorbent while the suction power is truly noteworthy.
We remind you that FREEGO does not only wash the floors, but vacuums them at the same time. Our test was also carried out in an environment in the presence of pets and we can assure you that, when opening the dirty water tank, we realized how much dirt was not visible to our eyes before using FREEGO.
