In a short video, the leader of the Searching Mothers of Sonora collectivereported that she has been discharged from the hospital in Querétaro, where she was admitted after fainting due to metabolic decompensation and slight dehydration.
In his own words, Cecilia Flores publicly thanked the government of Querétaroas well as the federal and state governments of Sonora, for the prompt medical attention he received:
“I am in much better health thanks to the excellent care I received from the moment I arrived at the hospital. I greatly appreciate the support, sensitivity and empathy shown by everyone who cared for me during this time.”
Despite the incident, Cecilia Flores assured that once recovered she will resume her activities in the tireless search for missing peopleand highlighted the importance of not letting our guard down in this humanitarian work that he carries out together with Madres Buscadoras de Sonora.
“Today I can say that I feel better and soon I hope to be home. Thank you all for your constant support. We continue forward, without stopping, in the search for justice and truth for the affected families,” Cecilia Flores concluded in her message.
