With the objective of safeguarding the right to vote of the capital’s residents and guaranteeing the peaceful development of the election day of Sunday, June 2the Government of Mexico City, through the Secretariats of Government (SECGOB) and Citizen Security (SSC), will implement a large-scale interinstitutional operation.
The security device will be made up of 15,020 SSC elements, who will be deployed in the 13,431 booths installed in the country’s capital.
This force will be equipped with 1,160 vehicles, 50 motorcycle patrols, 25 ambulances and two helicopters from the Cóndores Group, guaranteeing comprehensive coverage of the territory.
Law enforcement agents will provide surveillance and perimeter security at voting points, as well as at the central facilities of the National Electoral Institute (INE), the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) and the 33 Executive District Boards.
The SECGOB, for its part, will coordinate the actions established in the agreements signed with the INE and IECM, facilitating the transfer of electoral packages, monitoring the electoral document reception centers and providing support to citizens who preside over the polling station boards. .

The development of election day will be closely monitored by the capital authorities through the Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact Center (C5). In this way, a quick and effective response to any eventuality will be guaranteed.

Withdrawal of Electoral Propaganda
In order to guarantee an environment free of obstacles for the exercise of the vote, the 16 mayor’s offices and the Secretariat of Works and Services (SOBSE) were requested to remove electoral propaganda within a radius of 50 meters around each voting booth. voting, in the three days prior to election day.
The security operation includes the presence of police personnel throughout the day, from the installation and opening of the polls to the closing and sending of the votes to the District Council.
