The program, which seeks to regulate vehicular mobility to reduce air pollution, specifies that Vehicles with hologram 1 or 2 are also included in the traffic restrictions.
However, Vehicles with hologram 0 and 00, along with electric and hybrid cars, are exempt from these limitations and they can circulate freely, regardless of the color of the sticker or the finish of their license plate.
For this date, the Megalopolis Environmental Commission has confirmed that there are no additional restrictions due to environmental contingency. Despite this, citizens are recommended to stay informed through official channels in case any modification occurs due to adverse atmospheric conditions.
Hoy No Circula applies to all 16 mayoralties of Mexico City, which include Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, among others, as well as in neighboring municipalities of the State of Mexico such as Atizapán de Zaragoza, Coacalco de Berriozábal, Cuautitlán, Ecatepec de Morelos, and several more.
Additionally, the program has exceptions for certain vehicles regardless of the day of the weeksuch as agricultural tractors, construction machinery, motorcycles, electric cars, hybrid vehicles, classic cars, emergency vehicles, those for people with disabilities, and those who have a tourist pass.
It is important to remember that the Today Not Circulating does not apply on Sundays for any vehicle. This set of measures and exceptions are part of the city’s strategy to combat pollution and promote a healthier environment for its inhabitants and those of the metropolitan area.
