Castrolanda, formed by about 1,100 members in the State of Paraná and São Paulo, ended the first half with total sales of R$ 2.6 billion, 35% higher than in the same period last year. The data were presented to the cooperative members in the semiannual balance sheet pre-assembly, held virtually last Friday (30).
According to a statement from the cooperative, in the first quarter of this year, Castrolanda reached R$ 1.2 billion in sales, 24% higher than in the same period in 2020. In the second quarter, the amount more than doubled, closing R$ 2.6 billion in the semester. The net result reached R$ 109 million from January to June this year, a number that represents a growth of 56% compared to the first half of 2020.
The executive director of the cooperative, Seung Lee, said in the note that “we are seeing a very strong first half, an evolution of the numbers compared to last year. In these moments of uncertainty, guaranteeing financial strength is even more important than guaranteeing results. And at this point, Castrolanda is stronger than ever”.
