In addition to the veteran from São Paulo, the list of the 50 best also includes the carioca Oteque
The House of the Pig Bar won the 7th position in the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world. The ceremony of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants”, considered the “Oscar of gastronomy”, was held this Monday (18.Jul.2022) in London, England.
Managed by the chefs Jefferson and Janaína Rueda, the restaurant in downtown São Paulo was especially praised for its cost-effectiveness and full use of the pork. In 2021, it was in the 17th position of the ranking.
The jury of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants” is made up of 1,080 people linked to gastronomy. They are chefs, journalists and travelers who evaluate dishes around the world (known as foodies).
In addition to A Casa do Porco, 1 more Brazilian is among the 50 best: the oteque, by chef Alberto Landgraf, occupies the 47th place. It advanced 20 positions compared to last year.
The Botafogo restaurant, in Rio de Janeiro, serves a tasting menu with seafood and fish options (among other ingredients), paired with wines and cocktails.
In the 2nd part of the list, which goes from 51st to 100th, there are 4 more Brazilians: evvai (São Paulo), led by Luiz Filipe Souza, was in 67th place; O SUN (São Paulo), by chef Alex Atala, in 53rd; Mani, by the new “MasterChef” judge, Helena Rizzo, in 96th; it’s the lasailed by chef Rafa Costa e Silva, in 78th.
