Cartagena incorporates the player from Ponferrada, with extensive experience in the category with Deportivo, Oviedo and Alcorcón as the last stays
Another offensive piece is added to Cartagena for the 2022/23 season. It is Borja Valle, well known for his extensive resume in up to five different teams in the category. Deportivo, Oviedo and Alcorcón have been the last stays of this 29-year-old footballer, who fits in both as a hitch and on the wings. The one from Ponferrada is the seventh incorporation of the Albinegro team.
The club made official this Thursday the signing of Valle, a free agent since the end of the season with four goals and three assists, in nineteen games, with the relegated Alcorcón. This is a handicap that has always accompanied Ponferrada, who has lost six categories throughout his career. In many of these he had little fault, in any case. In fact, it arrived in Santo Domingo during the winter market from Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates. Abroad, Valle also tried another adventure at Dinamo Bucharest.
A native of Ponferrada, Efesé’s new signing began his career at Ponferradina at the age of 17 before making a name for himself in professional football at Celta B and Ourense. He especially stood out during his first stage at Oviedo, from 2014 to 2016, with fifteen fundamental goals that served to promote and stabilize Carlos Tartiere’s team in the Second Division. Another couple of stages were spent at Deportivo, from sweet to bitter because Riazor went from First to First RFEF in those three years.
Valle has a background of almost two hundred games between First and Second. He stood out for adapting well to associative game systems, for his ability to touch the ball, combine, go deep into the area and define. He is right-handed, although he was always seen on both sides and also as a midfielder. The one from Ponferrada, Efesé specified in the statement, signs for the season that starts on August 15, precisely, against the club of his land.
