The Porsche Carrera Cup Italia is approaching with anticipation the crucial appointment of the Mugello Circuit, which will be hosting the last round of the season starting from Thursday with free practice and until next Sunday with the forecast of about 35 entrants and all the titles to be awarded.
Given the ranking situations, the most uncertain is that reserved for the Teams (great balance between Ombra Racing and Ghinzani Arco Motorsport), an unusual factor in a single-make that has rather often and willingly decided the riders’ rankings on the wire, sometimes even in the last laps of the last race.
We will see if any of Quaresmini’s pursuers in the absolute, Cassarà in the Michelin Cup and Scannicchio in the SIlver Cup will be able to take the opportunity to comeback, undoubtedly it is also unusual that, as mentioned, the weekend starts on Thursday, exactly with the turn of free practice scheduled from 15.10 to 16.30.
Friday will instead be entirely dedicated to qualifying, scheduled in the afternoon: at 3.30 pm the 35 minutes of PQ1 and from 4.15 pm to 4.30 pm with the top-15 admitted to the final session (PQ2) which will decide the pole position and complete the race starting grid. 1 on Saturday.
Departure scheduled at 17.10, with live TV on Sky Sport Arena, Sky channel 204, and commentary as always entrusted to the competent and familiar voice of Guido Schittone.
On Sunday, race 2 will take place from 3.55 pm, broadcast live on Sky Sport Arena and in the free version on Cielo (channel 26 of digital terrestrial). Both races will also be available in live streaming in HD on the official website www.carreracupitalia.it.
Finally, at 5.30 pm in hospitality, an appendix to the general program will be the awaited nomination of the young winner of the Porsche Italia Scholarship Program and of the other under 24 to be proposed as a possible wild card for the International Shoot Out scheduled for November with the best “nominees. “from the foreign Carrera Cups.
