With the ranks of the reigning champion, Alberto Cerqui will be back on track next weekend at the Misano World Circuit for the second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia 2022. At the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup no.1 managed by the Ghinzani Arco team, the driver from Brescia he will try to repeat last year’s weekend during which he obtained pole, victory and fastest lap and therefore continue to be the protagonist at the top as demonstrated in the opening round at Imola.
The Misano program, as has become the tradition of the latest editions of the tricolor Porsche flagship, will be concentrated in the evening and at night. Free practice will take place on Friday at 20.40, while official practice will take place from 12.00 on Saturday. The first race will start on Saturday at 21.20, while the second on Sunday at 12.35.
The races on the 4226 meters of the Romagna circuit can be followed in streaming on the official website www.carreracupitalia.it and on TV. Race 1 will be live on Sky Sport Uno, while race 2 will go on Sky Sport Arena and unencrypted on Sky (Canale 26 DTT).
Cerqui underlined on the eve of the second seasonal act: “I’m very excited, at Misano last year was a great weekend with pole, victory and fastest lap, so the sensations are very positive. Tomorrow we will have a pre-race test session that will allow us to work well on the setup also considering the the fact that the first race will be at night, therefore in different conditions than normal. The goal is to bring home heavy points, which are fundamental for the championship. I’m confident and I want to do well “.
