President of the Superior Electoral Court praises the electoral process and states that the choice of representatives for cities is “essential” for the common good
The president of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), Cármen Lúcia, voted this Sunday morning (Oct 6, 2024) in Belo Horizonte (MG). After voting, the minister praised the electoral process and defended the “voter’s rights” to vote freely.
“Election day is a very important day for Brazilian democracy, and this is not rhetoric. This is the life of each of us and choosing our city’s representative to adopt the policies that are necessary for the good of all is essential. That’s why I count on Minas Gerais, which has always been a great example of us only knowing the result when we have to, after the investigation. No one has won before, no one has lost before.”he declared.
Cármen is already in Brasília. In the early afternoon, the minister goes to the TSE headquarters to take stock of the elections.
