‘0% plastics’ returns again in summer, hand in hand with the Autonomous Community, «to
raise awareness about the problems that arise with the abandonment of plastic waste, and very especially if it is done in the sea or in natural areas «, stated in the presentation ceremony the general director of the Natural Environment, Fulgencio Perona.
Perona stressed that «from the Community we celebrate
World Plastic Bag Free Day presenting the campaign in an emblematic place in our territory, such as Calblanque, emphasizing that visitors to protected natural areas can enjoy their day at the beach in a sustainable way and for the benefit of ecosystems «.
In addition, this summer the
activity ‘Living without plastic‘, which will take place from
July 26 to August 29 from 12:00 to 14:00. It is about discovering how to avoid plastics, the causes and reasons for doing it and some beach curiosities. Visitors will be presented with a
Cloth bag with the ‘0% plastics’ campaign logos.
“In this way, we can all contribute to reducing the impacts on flora and fauna during the summer period, and
contribute our grain of sand in the fight against the degradation of ecosystems and the loss of biodiversity, since the emission of polluting particles is reduced “, added the general director. This environmental campaign is co-financed with European ERDF funds.
